We have been early in many areas and sometimes too early. Unfortunately, it is really difficult to get the timing right and a lot more has to be in place for everything to work. We have really experienced that. Actually, you would get another life to do everything right from the start but it doesn't work anyway!

Mission by STU to develop an electric car in 1989

  • The assignment was: Can we make an electric car from products that are already available over the counter? 
  • We picked out a vehicle, a hybrid that could be driven on electricity for about 3.5 kilometers and then on gasoline. 
  • A way forward for the future. Presented to both Volvo and SAAB's management. 
  • The unanimous answer from both manufacturers: 
  • These are some environmental guys having fun. Let them be, it will never be like this!

All the accumulated experience has helped me move forward, even if sometimes you don't understand the strange decisions made by politicians. They can really sabotage both the future and living conditions. Unfortunately, we have the politicians we deserve and we have to make decisions every 4 years about who will sit at the helm. 

Then you can see that they can't do much when decisions and directions are made by representatives of capital!

A unique & well-founded experience! Which I am truly grateful for and which has given me unique insights into our life and society!

What should be done now to correct the many wrong decisions and all the attempts to close the railway, and that would change the current reality!

1. Dismantle the Swedish Transport Administration that exists today and replace it with four new Administrations! Should be done immediately!

Appoint general directors with solid knowledge in each transport segment! It is enough to admit that today it does not work at all.

Clean up the interference that exists from the state with the 500 million per year that goes to FFI. Those departments and their influence must be removed from the Swedish Transport Administration, the Energy Agency and Vinnova. Clean up these smelly nuisances and establish trust in Swedish research and development again. It doesn't work in the country either and there is no trust.

Quickly build a future railway on pillars and with fast light trains for passenger transport. For example, like our InfraMag. It would quickly change the transport situation for people's travel and commuting. We will have a railway that can be called the railway of the future!
