The EU made a decision on December 1, 2022 that all freight transport should be transferred to rail or sea transport. Trucks will be removed from our roads and will only be accepted as local transport between intermodal terminals and customers. All cities/communities with over 100,000 inhabitants shall have intermodal
terminals for passenger and freight traffic. They shall be expanded by December 31, 2027.
It has also been agreed that if you continue to drive as usual and do not build what has been stipulated, the EU can centrally step in and take over the infrastructure
planning in each individual country.
